So!

So! Flyboy has used his flying power to swoop him and Amanda into The Platinum Priestess’ mega-magic-Frankenstein lab! (And apparently The Platinum Priestess assumes he ran in!)

Who’s the other “speedster” that The Platinum Priestess knows? What exactly does she want Spooky’s help with? And will Amanda get the answers she needs?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

If memory serves, doesn’t Anni have super-speed as one of his generic “brick” powers?

As for her powers, I’m assuming something related to the “Great Working” to shore up the dimensional walls. (And I suspect that Sircea’s assumption WILL come back to haunt her. Probably when she tries to levitate something “out of reach”.)

Young Amanda is rapidly turning into a favorite character, with her pragmatic approach.

  2. Maybe…

I’m glad you’re enjoying Young Amanda. She’s fun for me to write!

  3. OH, the other speedster. Wouldn’t that be Duncan? AKA: The Annihilator?

  4. Avatar for Nate Nate says:

Correct. Anni being one of his nicknames around here.

The term “brick” is from the old Champions tabletop RPG, where it was the term used for hand-to-hand fighters who rely on strength & durability (e.g. The Hulk, The Thing, Colossus, etc.). You also see the term “flying brick” at times, for characters like Superman.

  5. Thanks for that. Makes sense (sort of) on the brick bit. The “Anni?” Yeah, for me that’s is a forehead smack! Annihilator. … sheesh. How dense can one soul be?

  6. Avatar for Nate Nate says:

Based on the works of Doctors J.L.W.P. Matla and Duncan MacDougall, the density of a soul is approximately .40117249705189 mg/cm3

    What?

  7. If I were Spooky, I’d spill those beans. Who knows what any of those concoctions might do?!
