Random Prediction:
When Mitch returns to the present, he’ll be wearing the hat.
I don’t really get that touching that treet suddenly made his arm glow again
But it’s probably an injury from before he ended up in the time portal? I gotta admit I barely remember, might have to go back and re-read
Maybe those special effects are meant to represent the pain he feels.

Nope. I imagine it’s hard to tell from the penciled preview page, but t’s meant to be a physical glow in the “real” world.
