So! Spooky was finally able to pry the Priestess’ staff from her grip! (With a little help from 101 Laser Bears, of course.)

I laughed out loud when I saw this! PP certainly lacks imagination!
Two things come to mind. One is to hope that if the old staff has some kind of homing device built in, it is limited in speed so it requires a book or two for it to make it back to earth, even if it does work magic. The second is as the staff goes out through the rip in the space-time continuum does the hole close or will earth’s atmosphere be sucked out into space?
I hope those bears enjoy their frolic with ol’ PP.

In the laws of magic (?) no. It has been removed only. Not acted upon in fact, just moved. SO, should be no immediate reaction. Since it has been the source of the energy (?) for the spell in the “warp hole?” by that I mean I have no idea what to call it, the spell should collapse as the item passes through it. The source negates the energy. Hum, it sounds like I know what I’m talking about? No. No clue. Just speculating.
